There's no common exploit on that port, or such.
Perhaps someone trying to get to the Q3 server on that port?
What time of day? Precise every day, or just now and then?

If your server is working and people are connecting I wouldn't worry about [blocking]* it.
As long as it can send its heartbeat, and update from the pb servers everyting should be fine. :icon26:

I don't remember my firewall logging anything on that port when I was running a Q3 server buts its been awhile...

took weeks for "i assume" all seeing eye ,gamespy and id to stop pinging me.
it was anoying .. all that from simply running a test server from my home for maybe an hour or so.

Probably unrelated but the GoogleBot operates from 66.249.64.33:61139.

Care to elaborate on what you mean by that? Look up the port on any of the registries out there. If it was a port DNS used it would be listed a known service on which utilizes that port. The thing is, there is no common service which uses that port, including DNS.

This all seeing eye is something. I think I may have actually found a forum I am interested in participating in. Who is really good at Q3 and are there any tournys out there for $$$?
