Yes, gmail notifier. Webmail is the future, anyway. Continuing to use standalone applications is a big waste of time.

GMail has a standalone notifier you can get for your taskbar, or alternatively Google Talk will check it too.

Wither will give you two-click access to the inbox so no password entry boring shit.

MSN and hotmail probably do something very similar.

i agree with foo (twice today, jeezuz) that webmail is where it's at. i do not use nor recommend an email client for personal mail.

toxic, if i remember correctly, you were using yahoo widgets at some point. well, there are one or two gmail noitifier widgets for that application also.

Will the gmail notifier allow me to check the emails at 3 of my addresses simultaneously?

The implication is that instead of managing three seperate addresses, you forward them into a single one and transition to a more manageable, singular environment.

Not sure about Outlook 2000, but Outlook 2003, you can right click the icon in the systray and select Hide When Minimized.

do a google search. Im pretty sure there is a registry hack to be able to minimize OE and old outlook to the tray.

Well you could install SoftProfile Juggler.
Then all you have to do is just right click the top and select hide window.

I use Outlook at work, and Apple's Mail at home. Both work great.
