Connection problems

I have conection problems...everytime i go to multiplayer then local more than not no servers are found but lately i can find nothing at all..im stumped

plz help me

Local is for games that are hosted locally, LAN. Which is computers connected together either directly or through a local network not the internet. You need to set it to 'internet' instead of 'local'.
Also, I noticed this:

If you want to find very many servers you need to have it updated. Almost all players and servers are using version 1.32.

How do you "upgrade" the game? (Hi by the way) cause I'm kinda new, and i was sort of having the same problem... well, i mean are there other ways beisdes that link?

o thanx! o, um... by the way, this isn't my computer. my family shares this computer, and my dad is the only administrator... so i can't download anything! *gggrr! is that the only way?

Yes I'm afraid so. Unless you could talk someone here into mailing you a disk, or maybe having a friend download the update and put it on a flash drive or something. Maybe talk to you dad and see if he'll let you update it or do it for you.
