q3 multiplayer help

hi,
i have a group of friends with similar internet connection (ADSL 512 kbps). we all have q3 v1.32 installed. we want to play q3 multiplayer game over the internet like we used to do it over LAN. i created a server(not dedicated) and gave my dynamic ip address to all of them so that they connect to my server using it. the problem is they can't join my server, the message "Awaiting Game state" just remains there or they get something like "start TA directly". i later found out that this was related to NAT.
we tried port forwarding for our ADSL routers. Included the port "27960" but no change.
I saw an earlier post that was incomplete, where a guy wanted to play with his friends alone, just like us.
One of the solution suggested to him was to assign all incoming connections of port 27960 from WAN should be forwaded to the LAN ip address. in our case the LAN address is "192.168.1.2". the gateway address is "192.168.1.1". the WAN address keeps changing. I don't know where to find this setting. All i can find in router configuration is "Applications" where i add ports to be opened. there is "Filters" which has fields like "WAN range", "LAN range", "connecti0n type" and "Port range".
My router is "SmartAX MT882 Sterlite"
Pls help me.
