Playing it on Veteran... I seem to be enjoying ti more than i did on the PC version... Very strange, but i'm having a blast...
To all those people that said 360 didn't have any good launch games...

Demo was awful ill give it that. Full game never dips at all. Only reason i even got this was, like i said, for the points. But its so smooth that it makes the retarded demo look, well, retarded. Visuals are still good. Better than a lot of the pap shown at E3 as well, so...DiscoDave wrote:I played the demo but tbh i wasn't impressed with the visuals and the fewquent frame rate drops, but ah well.
I assume the visuals on the 360 are the PC's DX9? DX9 mode looks pretty good IMO, but the performance it gives on the PC is really shit considering. As for reality shooters being good, COD2 is the only one I have had, but I'm at a higher level than I ever was on the fast stuff like Quake, so I play it most of the time now. The jumping physics really piss me off though... I'd rather have a lower leap than a higher jump which stupidly pretty much stops your speed when you land.o'dium wrote: Demo was awful ill give it that. Full game never dips at all. Reality shooters can be good, think FarCry. Call OF Duty is good when you want to get away from the 90MPH running and jumping games
As for the presentation... Its a WW2 shooter, what more do you expectA rock theme on the main menu

Good Luck. I'm playing it on hardend. Ive never died so much playing a video game...ever.o'dium wrote: Playing it on Veteran...
Yes. Just as you get into one, it throws you into another. I would rather play as the Russians or the Brits, TBH.HateFactor wrote:I liked COD 2, but I very much would've preffered playing one solid and coherent campaign (e.g. just following the Americans) instead of the three, fragmented messes they threw together. It really makes the game feel unfinished, imo (this was also COD 1's problem, not to mention the MOHAA mission packs).
Oh its fun, I cant tell you. Thank god for auto saves... You die an replay the same part like 40 times before you move on, heh... But in other spots its VERY easy. Strange.shaft wrote:Good Luck. Are you sure you're running the DirectX 9 mode not DirectX 7? There is one insane difference... 1280x960 on DX7 I get 83FPS (closest to my 85Hz refresh rate) most of the time except using sniper scopes at long distance and running into smoke grenades in more open areas. However, DX9 gives me 10-30FPS in general on the same areas, running all the same settings (apart from the DX mode of course, plus I put DX9 mode's shadows on and dynamic lighting normal). I have a P4 3GHz, Nvidia 6800 128MB, and 1024MB RAM.SOAPboy wrote:Performance is shit?
Maybe you need to upgrade bud, runs flawless here in 1600x1200../
cod:uo had the best player physics. sprinting, a jump you could actually use to get around and decent walk/run speeds. the first one always felt a bit too slow unless you were playing it with a realism mod. cod2, i just didn't have the patience for. wish they'd built on what cod:uo had acheived.d3mol!t!on wrote:The jumping physics really piss me off though...
