Best for what?
I would have thought that for what you would want one for, that title would go to Mitsubishi and their anagram (MIVEC).

Best for what?
Its the best all motor straight-4 2.0L engine in the world for everything. Its simply the best. There isn't a production car engine that is in the same category and is better. What don't you understand?

Its powerful, extremely reliable, can spend days in cut-off, responds very well to modifications (10whp gain from a good cold air intake, k20a2 (200hp stock) + cold air intake, headers, exhaust, hondata = 200whp), people have gotten 500whp++ with a turbocharged K20A2 on stock internals. Nothing beats this engine. Nothing.
K20A specs:
2.0L all motor
HP 220 @ 8000RPM
Torque 152 lb/ft @ 7000 RPM

*shrug*
If I wanted power out of a 4 in a car, it would be either the Suby, or the Mitsu... that’s all...
If I want fuel efficiency, then Honda may have a spot in the garage....
But I'd put a Toyota in that spot first.
….In slightly related subject, I wouldn’t buy a piece of lawn equipment that didn’t have a Honda on it. :icon14:
Edit 52: Sorry I was rambling...

Me, I don't own a car.
I own a 1990 Toyota 4Runner. Started to get rid of her a few months back, but we run some head gasket repair stuff through, then ran some sea foam through it, and the damn thing was reborn
:icon14:
I drive a 2001 Toyota Highlander on a daily basis.
Where I live eats small cars for breakfast, especially during the winter.
Even so my sister is the ONLY person in the family with a 2 wheel drive 4 cylinder (her silly little xA). Which lives in the driveway during the winter, while she hits me up to borrow the 4Runner. :icon33:
...But alas... the time has come TB, I'm actually looking at vehicles at the moment. I don’t know if I want to break the 25K mark or not.
Currently have my eye on the Toyota Tacoma. :icon14:
