Ritalin is not an amphetamine. You are most likely thinking of Adderall or dexedrine. Methamphetamine can also be attained legally.

I think the only reason crime would drop is because there wouldn't be people getting arrested for drug use. I don't really see the correlation between being able to do drugs, and not commiting crime. Unless you're one of those lazy stoners who wouldn't have the energy to go break the law while high all the time.

You'd cut off a major source of income for many street gangs, etc. You'd stop a lot of drug related crime. Of course, the gangs would probably find another niche to fill...but I think it would help with some crime.

That doesn't really demonstrate much...other studies have shown that caffeine can increase human concentration in the right amounts...but I'm thinking you're being sarcastic anyhow.

I drink 1 Red Bull every morning, and then am pretty much done with caffeine for the day, except maybe 1 diet coke in the afternoon. As soon as summer hits, I'll be off the redbull again though...that will be nice, and save about 40 bucks a month.
