Dual Boot

Well I completely destroyed my Fedora Core 5 install in order to try Vista. Not a big deal, I hadn't really done anything to it. However in the Disk Management part of the MMC I noticed that you can shrink a volume. I was thinking that I could shink the volume to about half way then make sure the new half is unallocated and install Fedora Core 5 on it. I am going to use GRUB as the boot loader and wonder if anyone has tips or warnings before trying this.

Well I shrunk the partition and installed Fedora Core 5, however I fucked it up after updating the kernel trying to install the nVIDIA driver. That was strange, I did nothing out of the ordinary, just an sh and it ran.
A few questions, how do you make grub wait longer till it boots the default choice. How do you change the default choice. How do change the displayed name in the grub choice menu.

You should USE
GAG as your boot manager.

I like the look of this GAG. Any tips or tricks of how to use it with Fedora and Vista? Currently Vista is installed and the Fedora hard drive space is currently unallocated.

Well I had Fedora Core 5 with GRUB installed and tried GAG. It works fine with Windows Vista, but did not work with either of the partitions created by Fedora Core 5. So I reinstalled it with Fedora Core 5 and selected no boot loader and Fedora Core 5 still created the two partitions and neither of them work with GAG.

Well apon reinstalling Fedora Core 5 I selected to put GRUB on the volume rather then in the MBR. So as of now everything, as far as dual booting Fedora Core 5 and Vista is going smoothly. Once I recieve Ubuntu Dapper Drake I shall attempt to make it part of the boot senario also.
