help

everytime i try to install Q3A a pop up says: C:\WINDOWS\SYSTEM32\AUTOEXEC.NT. The system file is not suitable for running MS-DOS and Microsoft Windows applications. Choose 'Close' to terminate the application.

plz help me....

I'm not sure how to fix that error, I have seen it before.

A workaround is copy quake3.exe,quake3.isu and the baseq3 folder off of the CD directly into a "Quake III Arena" folder on your drive somewhere, and run point release 1.32. The only problem with this is there will be no registry keys in the windows regestry, meaning you can't install team arena, unless you copy the files manually too.

Edit: If you REALLY need it, I can PM you a .reg file to run that will add all of the nesessary registry keys.

let me tell you more. everytime i go to my CD drive, click on QUAKE3(D:) the error pops up. after i click on either option the pop up goes away but nothing pops up after. (im using a copy of the real CD and i have the keys)

Right click the CD Drive -> Open then do what I just told you :icon32:

delete autoexec.nt

i haven't got a single registry key pertaining to quake3 on my system
because i manually installed the game.
