Anyone know any good commands? I won't get any video lag since my system's high-end, I'm just worried about the 150 ping I get on OSP and CPMA servers

engine is locked at a maximum of 30 on sv_fps so snaps 40 is out of sync
doesn't matter - i think after 1.17 or something so long as your snaps are set to sv_fps or above, it acts the same.
and didn't realize engine was locked at 30 - where did u hear this?
i remember playing on servers which had sv_fps 40
in fact, i've run my own server with sv_fps 125 and it definitely made a difference (for one thing you don't need to g_sync to record smooth demos) and secondly u can jump huge distances.
This mighta been before the last pr tho.

I don't think it will be out of sync, because the game will register the next lowest available setting, which would be 30.
Julz, I think it was misantropia (used to post here a while ago) that said he noticed when viewing the source code that snaps was locked at 30, also sv_fps is locked at 30.

You think -1 makes a difference in relation to the default value?

Many pros use -12 in their configs. Hardly makes any difference if you have white ping.

just a note about maxpackets -
high values of maxpackets are good since they increase the rate at which your aim and movement is sampled.
However, high values also distort the drawping, so that your ping appears higher on the scoreboard.
Don't be put off by this.

Yeah, I measure my ping by the aim of my railgun

i certainly notice it versus using 0. and -12 i think is just about when it starts to become apparent visually. any higher and enemymodels stutter.

cg_drawping in osp shows real ping

Yeah I use -12 as well, even when with white ping since it sits in my autoexec.cfg
But really you can tell the difference with 30 ping?
