I see ya have a caped bottel of Chimay.

More prefuable than any Rouge beer. Cause its a real ale.

heh.. that's a good eye you've got. I had some more, but I drank them. Stocked up on all kinds of crazy ale at a local Belgian Beer sale. That's my last bottle of Chimay, though.

You might also like to know: Rouge is a bottem ferment. In other words its basicly a lager. Its shelf life is next to nill. After a couple months its gonna taste like shit and smell like shit.

A top fermented ale can age, sometimes up to 8 years or more, and gain not only alcohol content, but complex flavors like you never experianced.

Lets examine the Chimay Red that you have in that pic.

It has a shelf life of up tp 6 years. Top fermented like its supposed to be done.

Thay make a better one called Grand Reserve. Shelf life 10 year plus. Its a grand Ale.

Theres others, but im done imparing words of wisdom, ale wise.

That's very sweet of you. :lub:

To be honest, I don't really drink much beer, but I stopped by a Rogue brewery and they had some sales... :paranoid:

I like interesting brews, and Rogue had them in spades.

Mix their Chocolate Stout with Hazelnut Brown... :icon14:

Beer drinkers never mix beers to get a flavor..

Like I said, I'm not a beer drinker. :p

btw, I tried the mix from a bartender at the brewery (it was his idea)... he mixed it from the tap.
I will say that rogue on tap is much better than the bottle, but that's no surprise.

I checked into it; you might like to know that a lot of the Rogues are top fermenting. Like their Chocolate Stout, for example. :)
