You could try a hard reboot on the router.
I think with the dlink, you hold the reset button on the front in for a minute or so.

Dosen't seem like there's a way to do a hard reboot.
Plus it's no longer supported by dlink.
I didn't see anything ni the manual either.

Did you try the default password?

I think that model was before they invented the reset button.

dlink made routers before the word "reliability" was used.

I dont know why i have blocked it. I have flashed it to the latest version and you are required to use the password to get in to flash. So the Password isnt a problem.

BUT if its blocked how do i unblock it?
And i cant find the reset switch on it...might be something to do with the serial port on the back of it?

but if you flashed it, it wouldn't have kept your old login/pass. did you try as Frag suggested and used the default?

Did you try defaulting it by hitting it with a hammer?

The reset switch may be just a little hole that you have to poke a paperclip into. Look for one of those.

Failing that try admin for the username with a blank password.

failing that, i suggest a sledge hammer and a different router

Right, fixed the modem but my pc is fucked!
The onboad network card is sending rubbish to the router and crashing it :E
So its either a case of disable onboard network and getting a PCI card or its a case of new mobo....!!! >:E

Sorry Juggs!!

I connected to it via the serial port on the back and logged onti it via hyperterminal. Used a few commands and reset it to factory defaults. Logged in via my second PC and set it up for the interweb and bob was my uncle!
