new phone?

So after years of bitterness towards cell phones, I'm being pushed by my parents to get a phone. (They're paying!) Mostly because my car broke down in the middle of nowhere last week. I think I would be looking at verizon or cingular.... Which phones would you peeps say are decent? I would like to be able to put mp3s on the phone, i think maybe bluetooth would be nice, but I think the main priorities are durability and size (I would like something quite small.) I thought the slvr seemed pretty nice. any ideas?

Friend of mine has a Nokia N80 which is pretty nice feature wise (wifi, 3mp camera etc), looks ugly though.

I like my Sony Ericsson K750i.

i also recommend sony/ericsson. tmo's been good for me for my personal cell provider, but verizon's also been very good for my work cell and data service.

I just have a little Samsung flip phone. No fancy bullshit on it, as I just use my phone to make plans and bitch at people. If I wanna listen to music I'll go home and turn on my stereo.

Most people here seem to use http://www.davinciteam.com/index.php - It costs about £7 to do, and you can download all the software straight from their site.

Although I'm not sure if they let you do it to US phones.

One of my friends spent $700 on that new silver sliding phone. It's fucking hot, but yeah, don't you ever waste your money on a phone like that.

Although I've had two SonyEricssons and I won't be getting another one. Both of them had wear-and-tear problems with the joystick and the energy supply plug.

My next one will be the Samsung SGH-E900 as soon as T-mobile starts supplying it. ( :icon33: :icon33: :icon33: Hurry the FUCK up, T-mobile!)

T-Mobile gave me a Razr and bluetooth headset for free... havn't had any problems with either the phone or the service.

personally i'd stay away from verizon, they're getting as content nazi as sprint.

i got a spv550 from work and while its a fun thing, its control scheme is ghastly. it also takes about 60 seconds to turn on :dork:
