It was the second time I tried making a speedmap using Lunaran his textures and for the second time I failed. Frustrated, I decided to allow myself two and a half hours and then come up with an appealing speedmap using Lunaran his set. It seems the third time was a success because I'm extremely satisfied with te result and I'm stunned that I did this is in two and a half hours.
With this, I finally made a map using Lunaran his textures. Something I wanted to do for a long time.

Very small map. I dig it a lot. I was already checkin this map out before you posted it up on Quake3World =D
Unfortunately Quake 3 is being weird and is causing my computer to crash or freeze on a black screen when I try to play it after being on a map for more than 2 minutes so I didn't get a chance to actually play in it.
Because of that I ended up decompiling the bsp and checking it out in the editor. Gave me some ideas on how to break up some repetitive areas in a map Im tinkering with right now.
Good stuff man. Great for 2 hours work =)

Hey infernis,
Played the map for about 10 minutes.
There are some textures missing : walkway borders especially.
You should add a lot of lore info player start for a surprise effect, because it's quite easy to know where doom appears.
The map is a little too boxy for me, adding some curves would be a good idea and also a vertical pillar il the lava, going from ground to ceiling (strategic gameplay).
Good job though, i like the sky texture and the general theme.

Pretty fun for an intense duel. I'd say to add some health, but that could give more advantage to the dominant player possibly. I guess it keeps the battle more even without health. Pretty fun for those who play for gameplay rather than looks.

Not too shabby for 2.5 hrs of work, though the map's size makes it more agreeable to RA3 than to any kind of deathmatch. Would be nice to see it expanded into a couple more rooms/atriums to make it a full-fledged map. Was fun jumping around on the stair ramps in CPM though.

Due to fact it's a speedmap, I didn't get around to setting up seperate directories for the textures so it's probably conflicting. I'm sure it's in there. I'll upload a fixed version tonight. Thanks for the feedback.
Bigfoot: The sky is hard to find on the Internet. If you want, I could hook you up with all the neccesary files.
v1l3: I thought that is was rather pleasing for the eye taking in mind the fact it's a speedmap.
wviperw: I'm making a full-flegdged Q3 map as we speak
Silicone_Milk: Sorry to hear that. I hope it inspired you for your map. Where did you check it btw?
