Did a low poly model of R2D2 because I was bored...

Now I'm not a modeler, and TBH I suck at textures too because I'm a bit naff at everything, but I get along with next gen media sets like diffuse/local/spec. I picked a low poly model with Diffuse only because it would be quick and would be a test for my diffuse skills.
The main gripe i have with the texture is that is seems a bit like concrete and its very flat

But other than that ill call it done:

Actually, that is quite good for a quick model. What program did you use?
IIRC, R2's dome is the same shade as it's body is it not?

It's very flat. Make him bumpy!

And for its death animation have a half-burnt Kenny Baker fly out of it.

lvlshot that sucka
No comments to add because they've been said on polycount, what you've got there is really a good base for your normal maps and what not so just the diffuse *will* look flat as the guys over there said.

Yeah, no lighting? It's not finished without highlights, shadows, etc. Seems slightly grainy for plastic, too - maybe a bit less "dirt overlay" and a few careful bumps and scrapes in the right spots would help that.
Proportion, colour choice etc seems good though.
