Patch 1.32 installed.....But still **PROTOCOL68**????

I have installed patch 1.32 which allows to play on protocol 68.
But when I try to play a game it still sayes **PROTOCOL 68**.
What did I do wrong???
I hacve tried to reinstall it a couple of times but it still does not work.....
Someone help! :icon23: :icon23:

when in game, bring down the console "~ key" and in the bottom right corner make sure it says 1.32.

if your at 1.32, you can only play on 1.32 servers.

No, because he didn't mention what servers he was trying to play on. He probably tried to join * < 1.32 servers.

No it sayes version 1.11
How can that be if it sayed install completed succsesfully???? :icon23:

OHH MY GOD IM SOOOOOOO STUPID!!!!!!
I was just tryind to RE-INSTALL the patch when I noticed I was downloading the patch into the wrong FOLDER!!
.....Now everything works....THANKS for all Help!

Check that you installed the patch to the same directory as quake 3.
For example, you may have installed quake 3 in c:\quake3 but the patch is installing to c:\program files\quake iii arena\.
If this is the case, the installer will work without an error, but quake won't be patched!

Well if he selects 1.32 he won't have a problem.

yes, it's quite obvious he was doing something wrong, but your suggestion wouldn't have helped him, that's what i was getting at.
