That's right fools, my new macbook pro. (i'm stealing free wifi from a building across from my hotel.
hotels get boring fast. it's good to have a routine of little things to make yourself feel more at home.Memphis wrote:If I found the first thing I did while staying away from home is pull out a computer to post on an internet forum, i'd only hope that fate later lined me up for being shot in the face
Really, they don’t. After you’ve stopped in a few nice hotels and done all there is to do, you soon grow bored of them. All I want to do is finish presenting tomorrow and go home. Having a few DVDs to watch is a bonus because these fucking hotel chains hardly ever change the film lineup. Finding free internet is a fucking massive bonus. But I suppose until you have a responsible high pay job that requires international travel, you wouldn’t know.Memphis wrote:That's the point. Why go away anywhere and want to 'feel at home'?4days wrote:hotels get boring fast. it's good to have a routine of little things to make yourself feel more at home.Memphis wrote:If I found the first thing I did while staying away from home is pull out a computer to post on an internet forum, i'd only hope that fate later lined me up for being shot in the face
Most hotels have much more entertainment on offer than just a room.

presumably db's already drained the minibar, charged as much as he can to the room in non-perishable goods, defaced the gideon bible and tried his keycard in the door of the next room. that's about when i'd usually go online.
No, I’m in London but my job is international. Look man, I was bored and posted a topic.Memphis wrote:So you're abroad, in a hotel, using the internet?

Agreed. I lived in a hotel for about a month or so (paid for by the company, everything pretty much inclusive) Internet access was something silly like £3 an hour, and I couldn't charge that to the company. I had to go to the local cyber cafe for my dose of q3w and whatnot.4days wrote:hotels get boring fast. it's good to have a routine of little things to make yourself feel more at home.Memphis wrote:If I found the first thing I did while staying away from home is pull out a computer to post on an internet forum, i'd only hope that fate later lined me up for being shot in the face
