And there I was thinking foxes were smart But I guess that's assumption, prejudice and preconceived uh, folklore as well.

You raise an interesting point! I've always suspected that the wolf that particular story was actually a fox. The cunning strategy to con his prey is clearly very much thought out, and his whole demeanor suggests the work of a solitary hunter. Very unwolvely, very foxy.
