Ottawa @ Toronto 0-0 so far, what a great game. Both new goalies are playing well, Volchenkov and Phillips are playing crap, giving the Leafs plenty of scoring chances.
Dallas and Colorado later tonight :icon26:

Belak, 2 minutes for "kneeing"? lol, first time I've ever seen that.

Great game, Ottawa wins 4-1. Now live to Colorado and Dallas.
This season will probably be even better than last year now that the players are accustomed to using their feet instead of using the old "clutch-n-grab" and getting a penalty.
Plus Dallas has like 4 super Finns

22 shots against in one period, Dallas is playing terrible. Looks like Quenneville will get his first season-opener victory. Goalies have been great tonight for all 6 teams.

Heh, was switching between that and the Tor-Ott game.
Best opening night I've yet to see, superb :icon14:
Tonight:
Toronto vs Ottawa
Calgary vs Edmonton
KIPPER!

Toronto won 6-0, what a crushing crush, Sens crushed
I don't like how Calgary is playing, poor Kipper getting screened by his own defencemen

And so much for Iginla's "new speed", went as slow as a sloth on the penalty shot and Rolie's save boosted Edmonton to get the first goal.

Just went to the home opener of the Sharks.
4-3 overtime win over the blues.....fuckers scored with 5.4 seconds left in the third to tie it.
No worries though, gotta love the overtime win.
Stanley cup this year perhaps? Sharks are one of the most underated teams in the NHL. We have made the playoffs quite regularly, and have two players by the name of CHECHOO and THORTON and they do NOT fuck around. They are finally getting us some respect.
LETS GO SHARKS.

Montreal @ Buffalo
What can I say, except this is one of the best games I've ever laid eyes on? First off, the speed and pace. Absolutely incredible end-to-end action for the full 60 minutes, nail-biting action, drama, awesome goaltending, super skills, a pissed off Lindy Ruff, the complete friggin' package!
Officiating is terrible but I love it when the crowd gets into it and gets pissed off and raucous. Saku Koivu, what an amazing comeback after Justin Williams almost blinded him for life. His eye isn't at 100% yet but his 2 goals and 1 assist showed it didn't bother him at all. He said it best during the first intermission, "I feel comfortable". Comfortable indeed, but Montreal's lackluster defense managed to give up a 2-goal lead in the third and with 14.9 seconds remaining, Buffalo tied it at 4 with an extra skater. Huet however was magnificent, making saves he has no business making. Overtime brought nothing more but more action and heart-palpitating speed. Onto shootout and Ryder and Kovalev managed to mess it up to give Buffalo a 5-4 SO win. What an amazing game even though Montreal is one of my favorites, thanks only to possessing one of the greatest hockey players in the world: Saku Koivu - Captain Finland.

wooooo!
I love this team. *kiss*
i love it when the refs fuck with a team and then *bam* breakaway goal 2 seconds after the conversation with the ref. (bonus points for knocking him on his ass

)
our finishing was fucking ugly for most of this game and the carolina game; once that starts to click things might be less of an emotional rollercoaster at the end of the game. but damn they came up big in the last few min.
some amazing saves at both ends of the ice kept me jumping out of my seat all night. (especially in the OT, jesus how many take-aways did the sabres have?)
just like last year... montreal v buffalo is always a good game... I think they're the only ones that can keep pace with us.
and OI... mad props to the blind man for coming back so quickly, that line was evil good all night. (allthough i did find it funny that koivu high-sticked drury and drew blood below his eye)
on to ottawa. :icon10:

isn't that a mean thing to do to a guy who's had so many concussions he probably wouldn't know what team he's playing for even if it was still philly?
