Quake3World

Can't seem to get the search working right as eveytime I check a search and try to return it kicks me back to the start doh! When I have more time I'll figure it out . Now to the question, how many CTF maps are included with quake 3 arena ? Only four ? I'm running a dedi server and have all the dm maps in my config , while trying to set up my ctf config I have only found four CTF maps ? Is this correct. Running a CTF dedi and will share your config or at least the maplist is all i really need .

yep vanilla q3 has only 4 ctf maps, if you want more ctf maps try threewave or the osp mod.

click on the "Mirror" for the osp mod, as the osp main site is down

but remember, if your running the server the ppl who are playing MUST have the mod and the maps you're running, IE: threewave or osp

Very Kool thanks everyone for your responses . What would you guys deem the most popular as far as ctf maps/mods ? Also if I want to run vanilla dm again whats involved ? Do i just use the shortcut i have created for that config , or once you install the mod is there a way to run the server without the mod.

ps Ill read up on it as soon as I get some time but quick answers will decide for me whether or not I will install mods . A lot of knowledge here and finding out some damn good , generous people !

damn those gaylords at fileplanet have removed my 'courtyard reloaded' map. i was going to recommend it for the - if i may say so myself - awesome botplay

edit: my crappy cheap-ass freeserve site is still up with some pix however

I have a ton of webspace and will start hosting maps / map packs as soon as i get the time but hit me up on xfire if you want your map hosted
