Neocons In Space

It seems the same nutters who want world-wide American domination (and the destruction of any who oppose this mantra) now want to control outer space.
In a little-noted policy document, the Bush Administration has unilaterally declared its right to conduct pre-emptive attacks on foreign spacecraft and on any objects or installations that might support them from the ground. It has also declared its opposition to international treaties that might restrict space exploration to primarily peaceful purposes.

The United States considers space capabilities -- including the ground and space segments and supporting links -- vital to its national interests. Consistent with this policy, the United States will: preserve its rights, capabilities, and freedom of action in space; dissuade or deter others from either impeding those rights or developing capabilities intended to do so; take those actions necessary to protect its space capabilities; respond to interference; and deny, if necessary, adversaries the use of space capabilities hostile to U.S. national interests....

From what I gather about this is China simply blinding US spooks from looking into China. It doesn't say anything about China wanting world domination by having satellites in orbit to "protect and enforce Chinese interests".

What exactly are you trying to get at?

I'm sure the PNAC have a Lunar/Martian domination plan somewhere in it's files.

It seems designed to prevent their use over Chinese territory rather than damage them outright. The article isn't entirely clear but they appear to remain functional after passing over Chinese territory.

While I don't trust chinese military interests to any great extent, this is hardly an offensive act on their part. The US wouldn't take kindly to Chinese spy satellites spying on their terroritory, and I doubt their would be great concern if the US temporarily disabled their satellites in the same manner over the same concerns.

Taiwan, political dissidents inside China, and random folks who cross the government in some way when interests clash.
