Cant open G Drive...

ATM, I have a small 120gig drive with XP on, and a 200gig drive (Also loaded with XP, however, the install went bad). The 200gig drive is split into 2, a 120gig drive and an 80 (Or whatever it rounds up to) gig drive. The reason the install went bad was my old GPU, but thats not important.

Anyway, to cut a long story short, to get my PC working i used the 120gig drive to install XP on, and had my old 200 gig drive as my data drive with all my old shit on. Works fine, except that smaller bit with 80 or so gig on, wont work. Instead, when I click the G drive icon to open it, it comes up with G:\ is not accessable. The file or directory is corrupted and unreadable.

However, booting back on my OTHER XP install, the drive works perfectly fine, the contents show up fine, no errors...

Any idea how to work around or fix this problem? Without deleting whats on there?

Thanks in advance.

Copy its contents across to a nother drive and reformat it.

I would hesitate a quick guess that it's a permissions problem due to it being an NTFS volume and your second XP installation having a different SAM Seed to your first.

You can boot into the recovery console using the XP CD then copy the files between drives.

Try running spinrite (option 5) on the misbehaving drive
