i think it is. its a bit repetitive at times but thats where co-op and deathmatch come in
i like its SP more than quake1's, gameplay wise. story is lame, but its id, what can you do

mm yeah ive heard the MP is very fun alright. im just worried that in this day and age the MP might just seem like a kind precurser to Q3A, a semi-evolved Q3A if you will, that is similar but not quite as good?

If you have a windows copy of quake 2, you might be able to install one of the mac updates then put the pak files from the windows game into the baseq2 directory. I don't know if that'll actually work with quake2 though

good idea, but i actually tried it already. ur not able to install windows software onto a mac tho, as soon as u open the installer app. nothing happens and u cant get access to the pak files. :icon13:

the pak files are in a folder on the cd. all the installer does is copy them
in other words, you dont have to install, you can just extract the paks

Beat me to it. Works a treat too, as well as the Q1 one they have for download too. I'd love to see id better Q1 (SP) but that was their peak IMO.
