I'm building a new PC, my budget is around $4000 USD.

1. Which mobo's are best with Nvidia cards?

2. What is the best PSU out right now? Are there PSU's that are 1 Kilowatt?

3. Any recommendations on memory?

You need to go into a little more detail, are you going AMD or intel?

Pardon me, Intel ofcourse. But I'm wondering if I should wait for the new AMD chips? Can you give me any details on what AMD got up it's sleeves? Any websites? I have been away from nerdware for way too long.

And forget my $4k budget, that is just too much now that I think about it. I'll keep it around $3k.

LoL, with a $4000 budget, keep it in your pants and wait for DirectX10 SLI cards.

Isn't that the G80 and R600? Or are they still Dx 9?

Just read about the resistor problems on the G80's. They are coming out in about a few days, not weeks.

What's the news on ATI's R600? Is it suppose to be faster than the G80?

What's AMD's next gen CPU?

Sorry for all the questions.

Amd's next strike is the Quad cores that they are hinting around, Thats about it.. intel allready has working Quad's and are sending them out to review sites and etc, But amd is yet to show anything..

and ofcorse there are the tid bits flying around about the K8L... but word is that is the Quad cores.

and i dont know about the GFX cards to tell you the truth...

all i know is that the 8800 GTX is Massive, Wattercooled whore that needs 3 PCI power connectors to run...

So yea, stop and chew on that for a min..

I heard it's NOT watercooled and it only has 2 PCI connectors.

you are misunderstanding watercooling, When i am talking about a OEM company, they have watercooled Coolers for CPU's and GPUs that have water INSIDE A air based cooler.

Mac was the first to do this btw :)

and sorry, 2 connectors.. that is still insane.. the amount of power that the cards take allready is insane! now it needs two connectors?
gah

i cant see to find the cut outs anymore,

its a simple small pump and heatpipe with a Rad on the top, but its VERY compact.

As i said, its on the G5's... or was, when they where still using Power PC CPU's i dont know about now though
