What i once blamed on PB and GUIDs has actually turned out to be something potentially simpler. Quake 3 isnt authnticating me for some reason.
After i join a server i get timed out after a few seconds because i havent passed authorization/authentication or something. Cna anyone help?
ty in advance

Make sure your firewall allows traffic to authorize.quake3arena.com (192.246.40.56) on UDP port 27952.

You don't use windows firewall, and you don't have a NAT router? I'd be surprised.

And you connect to the internet via what equipment?
And you've disabled the OSX firewall?

all firewalls have been disabled. No firewalls or internet hindering apps are used here. And Quake 3 rejects mr from server die to Authentication time out

is the server you are connecting to your own?
since 1.32 auth works differently than before, but you can reset it to the 1.31 by typing /sv_strictAuth 0 in the console of the server..
