Is Shareaza a virus like people said Kazaa was?
I thought it was fine cause it says:

Shareaza is FREE & contains NO Spyware or third-party products.

on the Shareaza site
and it's open source.

Someone I've been speaking to, however, thinks that the problems I've been having on my computer are down to Shareaza, saying it's a virus like Kazaa.
Is it?

No shareaza is not a virus. However, the networks it supports DO contain a ton of infected files. p2p apps like kazaa and the works are the worst when it comes to file sharing.

you need to clean up your act.

In a perfect world, one should be able to safely steal software without worrying about getting a virus.

that person is a moron and should be shot alongside with you for your illegal version of XP

just get XP and you'll save yourself a world of hurt and aches

Alot of the programs are infected. Just stay away from very small file sizes.

p2p it's self is legal , c'mon it was businesses that invented it in the first place. Downloading/uploading illegal and/or copyrighted content on p2p is however illegal.
