Well I finally reinstalled quake 3 and have it all patched up and im getting some odd bug where my mouse doesnt make tiny adjustments. I can make quick turns and look around but when I try and make a small movement it acts like it gets caught on something then moves farther then I had intended. I dont have this problem with any other game just in quake. Anyone else have this problem? Thank you in advance for any help you can offer. I checked the stickied threads and found nothing =(.

Have you tweaked the /sensitivity setting in the console yet? You'll want to set cl_mouseaccel to zero.

I havent tried that command yet. But thanks for the help. Even when im in options it happens like if im scrolling up and down on the options or trying to slide something left or right. It's not a fluid motion and gets hung up =/.

Hi, I have the exact same problem!
I have a really great quality mouse, and I play lots of other games with no problems.

Did you fix this problem? If so how?

Thanks. :p

I remember such case allso but cant recall what i did.
Check mouse settings in windows, in some cases you can switch on and off mouse acc when launching a fullscreen game.

I allso remember that due to my graphic card i once had the options for AA (and all the visual tweaks) set to high in windows. Not in the game. Then the game ran fine but with very poor accuracy with mouse. When moving the mouse it lagged the input on screen but still had excellent frame rate.

fuck around with every setting you can find, system, Quake 3, drivers, etc until you get to the point where you just dont care anymore. THERES your ideal sensitivity

Fixed it.
Went into the logitech setpoint software, went to game settings, enabled game detecttion, set speed and accleration to be ajusted by setpoint rather than the OS, and then unclicked "keep mouse acceleration".

Sorted. Thanks for the help guys :)

i just kept the default sensitivity and turned it up in the options menu...... options in q3 are very, very irritating.... anyone else had the problem where they can't set the mousewheel and have to resort to defaults?

have you learned how to edit your config? That way you are not dependent on the menu, and can keep your settings in a file.
