Now that the source code of Quake 3 was released over the GPL, a proyect, OpenArena (http://openarena.ws/), was started constructing a 100% GPLed and 100% mod-compatible Quake version.

Since the source code of Ui enchanced mod (http://uie.planetquake.gamespy.com/) was released back in 2002, and I think it is a great UI replacement that should be part of the OpenArena proyect, I tried to contact the author (HypoThermia), because it was not clear what terms he released the source code over (he put some advices but latter he said it was left there as reference, since the source code was now freely available).

Do you know how can I contact HypoThermia? I wrote some messages to the emails I found in his websites but never got an answer. I need to ask him if his source code could be distributed as GPL software in the same terms of Quake 3 source code license and OpenArena free content.

If the released source is from 2002, it is covered by the iD SDK EULA, which is incompatible with the GPL.
