People will have their own opinion. Not all of them Q3A and none Q3TA etc.

Personally I prefer Q3A.

what is ''cpma'' pls?

Are there nice servers out there to play online ? when u have original CD-KEY ofc..?

I just tried without having an original cd-key to be onest and there were about 10-20 servers , but most of them were empty. If there were some players it was lagging like hell! O.o

Hopefully with original disc it is better...???

Thx

okay,

1. CPMA stands for Challenge Promode Arena. It's a professional mod for Quake 3. Go to http://www.promode.org if youre interested.

2. Most tournament servers dont show on the dump that Quake 3 gives you. Find a competition site in your area, they usually provide addresses to connect to.

3. if you copy pak0.pk3 from the disc into your baseq3 folder you dont need the disc at all.

I prefer Q3A, I've played some Q3TA and I really didn't enjoy it.

Cpma turns Q3A into a different game all together. Most ultimate mod compared to all the others. Minded there are plenty of very good mods though, that kick ass.

You have to know alot about Q3A in many aspects to be able to enjoy Cpma at it fullest. It's for the pro's. That's why I love it. It's not very easy for newbies.

Some extra weapons, a few new powerups, new maps (spacey ones, at that), an improved UI. Though I feel that, all in all, it's not worth the money. Just my $0.02, of course.

I didn't think it was too bad, the big maps sure made for some fun teamplay games. However, yeah, if you consider it buying it now when NO ONE is playing it online, it'd be a waste.

Q3TA is worth playing just for the mpterra maps....with me personally it is worth having just to play the custom map Kineterra1 by Kit Carson & Nemo. I got Quake3:Gold /TeamArea which has them as a two for one anyways.
