hiya. i host a jedi knight: jedi academy server, and had no problems for about a year. all of a sudden, wehrever my server starts up, instead of showing on the master list as using port 29100 (which is set sa the net_port), it has some other random port listed. thus, whenever my server restarts, it takes forever to get back on the list because it has some new port.i think this may be a problem with my router, but what i dont understand is, why is it doing this now? help?

see if someone did a hard reset on it which wiped your previous settings.
if you try and log into it and it's using the default username/password, then (unless you were a silly boy) you'd know that it was reset.

Some routers dynamically remap port numbers (to avoid collisions with other users on the same network). If possible, try connecting your PC directly and see if the problem persists.

well, i kinda need the router cuz we only have one plug. i have a DI-604, know any way i can turn that shit off?
(o btw i tired calling d-link tech support to no avail. their outsourced techs had no idea what i was talking about and just gave me the runaround)

the reason i say that is because i've had horrible experiences with certain d-link routers and your model in particular was probably the worst piece of gear i've bought in the last 5 years.
don't know anything about trendnet, but i've been extremely happy with mine and setting up about 15 or so Linksys WRT54G wireless routers for friends/businesses.
