This is a keyboard problem. Usually.
The reason for it I can't 100% remember, but it's something like this: The PS2 keyboard interface only had enough 'space' for a limited number of different input combinations. So on a 103-key board there are always some combinations of 3 or more keys that won't work together. Quite which keys that is depends on the keyboard manufacturer and/or underlying hardware. So for example, a cheap genius keyboard might not like ALT-CTRL-ARROW, while an expensive Logitech might screw up on BACKSPACE + ARROW + ESC
If your PC makes a beep when you press the key combinations that don't work, then it's *definitely* the keyboard/socket.
BTW try putting jump on the right mouse button. I know it's hard to learn a new key location but it should get around the problem without requiring you buy a new keyboard.

pretty sure its not a consolecmd. maybe after that loong time your BIOS was flashed, or some other driver was updated which might be causing this..

I think not. Q3 doesn't store key presses in a buffer. Maybe it's a driver setting?

open up notepad.
see if you can use those three keys simultaneously. (forward, right, and space)
If you can't, then the problem is your keyboard.

So if you don't want to hunt down the command that is causing this yourself delete your q3config.cfg and restart the game.

You'll want to read the rules first then, next time you post on a forum.
