Quake3World

1) When i switch to an old PR with the version switcher, the gamma is very dark and i cannot raise it, only lower it, anyone knows why? It only does this in 1.16 and 1.17 IIRC. There's still quite some servers for 1.16 with mods i haven't tried and i would like to be able play on them, not to mention the more servers to choose from, the better.

2) Can i use a different headmodel and bodymodel in mods like OSP, CPMA or E+? I found that playing with doom/blue body and bones head is awesomness, both in terms of visibility when forcemodeling and coolness.

3) How do i stop sucking? jk jk

4) I recently came across a map download which emulated the gameplay of the NES game Duck Hunt. It's quite fun to have a go at it. So i'm wondering, is there any recommended solo downloads? Things like minigames, or solo missions, that kind of stuff. I already know aboud defrag.

I have plenty more questions that i can't seem to remember ATM, i'll keep them coming i guess.

2 --yes with newer Pr this is possible

3 --praccus praccus praccus and play better people

4 -- there are a gazzilion mods out there .. >google

1) That sort of fixes it...somewhat, now i have a fixed gamma value that i can't change (pretty dark, but brighter than before) I guess i should play arould with overbrightbits and other shit til i set something decent. It would be a pain in the ass to do everytime i switch to some versions tho, i might as well stay away from 1.16 (the only PR still played that has this problem)

2) I know it's possible in Q3, i was just asking if it's possible in mods. Say if i play in OSP or E+, could i set headmodel bones if my body is another type? If it's possible, the command is not the same as baseq3, so i'm unable to do it.

3) I was kinda kidding with this question, i already read pretty much every "how do i get better?" topic on this forum . And currently, finding people better than me isn't too hard, to say the least.

4) There are many mods, that's why i'm asking specifically, is there some cool shit you guys know about, to play solo just to relax and have a bit of mindless fun, like the afromentionned duck hunt map?

And one question that i had i actually remember:
On some rare servers, everything that isn't me or ennemies, but moves, has a very low fps. For example explosions, plasma, or animated stuff on maps. Is that a serverside setting? Not that it affects me in any way, but i'm curious.

It's a bug of sorts, caused by that server's long uptime.
