A question for Christian theologists

Satan.
Here's a guy that was God's pride and joy, his most beautiful and powerful of angels....until he pissed him off. Then Satan was cast out of Heaven and told never to come back...not even for his stash. Satan has been pissed at God ever since.
Now on the Earthly plane....God's wonderous "Garden Of Eden" © 4000 BC has turned into a cess pool. God let humanity run riot and just look at the mess he made. Good, God fearin people say,"it's the devil's work" whenever something goes bad like murder, greed and when your hockey team moves to Arizona. Basically...Satan gets all the grief. But when shit goes good people say,"That's the hand of God" and that old bearded cunt soaks up more of the worship.
Here's my question: If Satan hates God with every fiber of his being and wants to "show up" his father, wouldn't the ultimate payback for Satan would be to change the world for the better?
Think of it this way: If Satan can clean up God's Garden Of Eden © 4000 BC (which has frankly turned sour due to neglect) couldn't Satan then gloat to God and say,"Look you fagg0t! Look what I did! I took those retarded, misguided souls you abondoned and turned it back into the paradise you originally designed! Just look at that...another hockey team has moved back to Canada!"
Just a thought.
Now...some smartyaleck will step in here and say something cuntish like,"But dude...Earth won't last forever and what's Satan gonna brag about when the Sun bloats to a red giant and turns Earth into an orbiting cinder?"
Well...according to Christian mythology, Earth is the reason all this exists....so who cares about 600,000,000,000,000 years from now?

Actually...I'm not expecting religion to make sense. I'm just wondering if anyone considered this alternative method for Satan's revenge....rather than just convincing some moribund loner nutjob that he should kill his next door neighbor with a spoon.

Well, a fundamentalist would say that God still loves Satan with all 'his heart', so that if Satan were to make the human race verry nice then God would consider it a sign of Satan's repentance. Then Lucifer could come back home and get his heavy metal collection back. Which is the real reason why Satan is so pissed. God kicked him out and wouldn't even let him take his collection of AC/DC & Judas Priest.

you obviously know very little of Christianity
spreading good would do absolutely nothing salvation is determined by believing that Jesus' Resurrection and if you dont believe in that no good deeds will not get you in heaven
when an unsaved does good it has no merit to God so if the Devil did good it definitely will have no merit let alone begin to try to do more good than God. Besides at the end of the day he still goes the hell so whats the point.
heck the mere notion that the all powerful God can be out done is retarded at best. The devil cannot do anything God doesnt allow.
The devil basically is used through god as temptation. He wants to take as many of God's humans to hell with him who God loves more than even angels and help believers to unrighteousness and good allows it. His temptation is on Adam and Eve is what ended the paradise on earth in the first place. God then cursed man to a non-eternal life of hardship. However the son decided to save man for after life on earth. Father/son/holy spirit seen this coming before the earth was even created.

God is omnipotent... I bet he's just bored senseless. In fact, the idea presented in Scott Adam's God's Debris that God probably killed himself seems fairly convincing.

I believe in God. I believe there's a Satan. And I believe that (almost) none of you are willing to think for yourselves. You're willing to put more thought into picking out a toaster then into how you feel.
Why in God's name do you think that someone else...anyone else... would know your heart better than you? You don't jump on the relgion bus, next stop heaven. You have a brain. Use it. Don't like the story? Reject it.
This is your life, your story, your journey. It's unique.
Personally, I'm not a member of any organized religion. To me, organized relgion is like training wheels. You grow past them. *gasp* If you try.
Look at every relgion. See what makes sense to you (if any of it at all). Look at philosphy. Learn everything you can and find your way.
Or...you can sit there and focus on what doesn't matter until the day you die. Your choice.

If you're asking that of me, I'd like to know, what makes you think I believe God is whatever appeals to me?

Im asking cos I dont know what you think - but it seemed you were suggesting people look for what they wanted no?
probably this line got me wondering if you might be agnostic:

I think, pretty much, since mankind crawled out of the ooze he's tried to find the reason for being here. The purpose. The goal. There are just about as many theories on it as there are people: There is a God. There is no God. God is dead. There's a God but no Satan. Satan killed God. God has no limits. God is limited. God loves us and wants us to be happy. God is vengeful and is just waiting for you to fuck up so he can punish you, ad infinitum.
Lucky you, you get spat into the mess and now you have to make some kind of decision. Who wouldn't be confused? How do you even begin to make sense of it or relate to it? My belief is you have to bring it back home...or, in other words, you have to examine your own heart first. It's tough to do if you're still in kid mode. Kid mode being you believe or feel you should believe everything your parents or some "authority" tells you to believe.
At this point in my life, after examining as much information as I have been able to up to this point, I've found that there are some principles that ring true to me (and they tend to be common threads through all faiths) and there are some things that just don't make sense.
I do
not believe God set down a bible full of immutable laws 2000 years ago and told us to stop thinking. The top 10 will do fine. After that, for me, my relationship with God is as personal to me and as suited for me as my skin.
My belief is that no one should just swallow what any person or religon tells them they should believe. And I think many people can feel or sense that, but don't know how to identify or deal with the source of their discomfort. Feeling threatened, they just reject everything in an effort to find peace of mind.
