Nothing shows up in sys tray anymore.

There is a problem on my laptop, recently it froze and I rebooted it, all of a sudden the tray icons weren't loading anymore. There only ones that do show up are the battery, wifi, and "eject hardware" icons. The ATI, Creative Sounblaster (I have a PCMCIA sound card), etc, icons don't show up. When I looked at msconfig, all the startup applications are still checked. Anyone know what the problem might be?

Also, for some reason, the scrolling section of the touch pad doesn't work anymore.
