I think the links to the images don't work. They go to the imageshack mainsite while they should go to something like h++p://imgxxx.imageshack.us/imgyyy/zzzz/someimage.jpg

Rightclick on the image you uploaded to imageshack in your browser and choose 'copy image location'. Then paste that into your post.

@juggernaut

Really? How can the upper links work for you? Where are they pointing to? For me, they point to http://imageshack.us/ :icon33:

Maybe Browser-dependant trouble?

@ANIMAL 1988

The link in your last post works, but the image doesn't really show much. Looks like a large passage leading downwards without lighting or texturing. Really can't judge your map by that, but from the screenshot it seems as if it needs some work.

You may want to get used to the editor a bit and then read this CTF level design guide.

Do u play quake 3 or just create maps. This map was created purley for gameplay and in my opinion is very different to some of the boxstandard all similar maps some of u guys make. Plus was made in 5 minutes.

Actually, "boxstandard" describes it very well :olo:

I've only seen 1 screenshot. It ...eerm... did not look that good.
Is the map availbale for d/l? I'd be willing to give the gameply a try.

Beside that: I can only speak for myself of course, but I guess some of the folks in here tend to play q3a a bit from time to time, yes. ;-)

I downloaded your map and wanted to give it a try in instagib+ (cause I don't know of/have the mods you mentioned and wasn't able to find them in the mods section of pq3 either) but I couldn't cause there seems to be no bot support.

I couldn't test the gameplay therefore - and I don't dare to upload a map that looks like that to my server and ask any of my friends to join it.

I ran around the map alone then and I think I got my impression anyways.
If that map expresses your ideas on good q3 gameplay then the only thing I can tell you is that I don't share them.

The map may be nice for a quick game with some friends of yours who share your taste in maps/gameplay, but I can tell you that most people in here won't like it.

Clearly, he's a new mapper so cut him some slack. Instead of flaming, how about some constructive criticism? Otherwise, STFU.

I like new mappers. Coming fresh out of the gate and saying everyone's maps look the same, and posting pics of a box isn't a new mapper, it's a troll.

I downloaded ur first map from lvl. Its also a box? only difference is uv spent days? weeks? months? decorating like a little nancy boy.

MY level was mearly to test the idea of using slopes in ctf somthing which i have never seen or played before. And took little over ten minutes.

Cheers for the support Obsidian

you're REALLY not going to get a positive response from people when you flip out and insult people.

If you make a map that looks like ass expect at least one guy to point that out to you. You may not like it, but instead of getting all upset about it ask for some pointers on how to make that map look better.
