I have the latest point release, the altivec G4 update for my little mac, the latest version of 10.4, the latest CPMA version, all the relevant maps, and a valid cd key.

When i got my new internet installed, (since getting to Aus, Activ8Me or some shit) im getting pings upwards of 1500 and its not authenticating my cd key when i join servers. Its not a pb issue because the server doesnt use pb, and the cdkey was bought in Aus.

So i join the server, it says "Connection Interrupted" and the ping metre goes nuts. Then, after ten or so seconds, it boots me from the game. When i check the console, it says "Authentication Time-out" then "no Authentication Reply"

Please help me, i have a comp coming up soon...

When you ping those servers from the shell, do you get the same response times?

You probably just enter

Ping ( and the ip addy you wanna ping here)

but I'm just guessing.

i like to use "tracert ip.ip.ip.ip" better... shows ping to all the different hops on the way to the server :D
