Heh interesting... I remember reading about valve's powerplay in an old pcgamer issue in a preview of team fortress 2. I think they where touting it as a way for dialup users to gain an advantage when playing online. I can see how that type of ideal would not have come through since everyone virtually plays with broadband these days, so once the tech caught up there was no real need for it. I wonder it this thing will result in a similar thing.
