does anyone know of a good server that i am able to join w/out the crazy ping, or mods? I play CTF (have been for years) but every server i join is jam-packed and has a horrible ping...
also does anyone know of a way of fixing the brightness so i can see during the day? (the in game option does nothing...)
just joined =) hope to find some good players to fight =)

Here are a few ctf servers I regularly play on...

You can fix the brightness using the command "r_gamma 1.5"
You need to go into the console by pressing the tilde (~) button and by enterning the command I gave you. Once in the console, type /r_gamma 1.5 and press enter. Now I'm using 1.5 but you can always change that value so that you can find what's good for you...for exemple, you could use r_gamma 1.77 or something.

you must alias,i play at the 2 croms and a-51 and ive never seen u there:P
i play as ^metal in baseq3

I do the CROM servers on a regular basis too(mostly CROM II...prefer the map mix better).
Sometimes I'm in there as S31|^SSJ3Goku(my old Elite Force clan name), but most of time I play as Redshirt.
