once I connect to a remote session , how can the administrator log in as well so he can observe the session? I know it was possible with win 2000 but I can't figure it out with 2003 for some reason.

basically I'm trying to remotely show someone how to use a program ... everything else seems to be set up correctly, I mean i can connect and play around in his system but he can't look in the session.. I am connecting to a win 2003 server through a win xp client

That admin can log on with another TS session to the server and then open the Terminal Services Manager snap-in which is in Admin Tools. Then highlight "This Computer" in the left-hand nav pane and you'll see the connected user listed in the right-hand window. Right-click the user object and choose Remote Control. If this option is not available then you will have to open Active Directory Users and Computers and change the settings on hte Remote Control tab of the user object in question.

Let me know if you have any other questions on this.
