I know that the geforce 6800 ultra has a faster clock speed, but is it all that much better than the 6800 GT?
are we talking just a few extra frames ....or is there a really big difference in game performance?
I guess I'd like some opinions on wether the extra money for the ultra is really worth it. Thanx in advance for your thoughts

Well I have a BFG Tech 6800GT and get all the performance I need, haven't overclocked yet. Here are three links to show why the 6800 Ultra can beat the GT, and by just how much:

hey thanx alot for those links
based on what I've read in those links, I'm thinking that the GT is probably the best bet for what I want. The difference between the Ultra and GT seem really small and not worth the extra cash to go up to the ultra.
BTW I came across this link as I was looking for info over at the Anandtec forums,.....its a pretty good site for vid card info, for anyone else looking to figure iut what will work best for them

I got my ASUS V9999GT 256Meg DDR3 running from 350/1000 to 420/1166 (Ultra is 400/1100). No problems at all
And even if you don't plan on overclocking, the GT is much more bang for your buck.

I have a Gainward 6800GT. Overclocks to at least 420/1200. Ultra speeds out of the box. Dual DVI's.
