Hello all,
I wanted to get your opinion on this release..I'm calling it a final. Any comments will be appreciated.
Description:
A vanilla Quake3 version of the popular
Team Arena map (mpteam9). pro-q3t6ctf derives from mpteam9
which derived from q3tourney6_ctf. It's a bit larger, with 2
floors on each base, a couple new ways off the base and the
quad alternate on the middle platform.

I have the map in rotation at the following servers:
64.255.174.10:27960 :: -=Lightning=-
64.255.174.100:27960 :: -=Thunder=-
I hope to see some of you there

doesn't look half bad. will check out
i haven't downloaded a custom Q3 map for years
edit:
* there's no arena file
* only seems to be one spawn point, resulting in a massive telefrag clusterfuck
* GL is pretty redundant on a map like this. suggest replacing with LG or even better SG
* the stairways slow the flow down. i'd suggest more bouncepads
* there's a thumbs.db file in the pk3
otherwise, looks like pretty solid old skool action

I've tested it with a 10v10 and there's no telefragging that I am aware of.
* the stairways slow the flow down. i'd suggest more bouncepads
bounce pads imo are horrid on space maps...makes an easy target for railers...keeping them at a minimum worked best.
I'll address the other issues. Thanks for the comments and suggestions.

So you're remaking t6-ctf--one of the worst offenders of easy-target-jumppad gameplay--and yet you're making
that statement.
Oh, the irony!

What wviperw said, and:
Oh, look. A remake of a space floater. Or, maybe Law and Order is on..

What's wrong with mpteam9?

I think they just don't like space floaters...

or...hmm, I'll put it this way instead...usually people do remakes of a map because they think they can do a better job of making it(hence re-make)....now, if it was an intent to port a TA map over to Vanilla...then it probably would have been a better choice to do something like mpterra1 or something. Now that could be considered a great map to re-make...aside from nobody really jumping at playing a re-make of a space map....
I normally don't rant and rave...but, I don't understand people and remakes....like we need another q2dm1 or a q1dm4 remake 11 or 12 yee-hah. I guess make a remake or maybe a boxmap that would be cool.

@III-Busta
If you don't mind, why don't you join the
CTF-1on1 mappack project with your cool map? :icon25:

Um.
He probably won't, because this isn't a 1-on-1 CTF map.
You confuse me.

too big. q3tourney6ctf would be the largest map I would ever play a space 1v1 ctf game on.
