YES! Finally some snow

Winter has been pretty tame in Europe this year with high temperatures and hardly any snow covering the Alpes mountains in France, Switzerland, Austria. It was pretty shitty when I went to France in January for a week of snowboarding. Grinding the snowboard on small stones and ice in the morning, and slow slush in the afternoon.
Tomorrow we're going to Austria, a bus full with anesthesiology residents, supervisors and the professor himself (cool guy). Skiing, snowboarding, partying for 3 days non-stop (almost). The whole week it has been snowing in Austria (for the first time this winter). I just checked the webcam of the place we're going.
Looking pretty sweet at 1400 meters.

People where pretty upset about Mt.Shasta this year too, up until Feb. came around. Not much of a winter in nothern cali either.

We were very lucky with the snow. The week before it was all grass and cows.

All of ours has melted. It dumped about 2.5 ft in a week, and two weeks later it's all gone.
(although now the girls are out in shorts and summer dresses
