Good job America, ban a movie that was released in 1982 and already watched by millions around the world and is a huge cultural and film making landmark for the sake of national security while you leave shipping crates unchecked.
This is absolutely ridiculous. Next, they'll start arresting people and shipping them off to undisclosed locations in other countries for owning a copy of Tron.

Other than the majority of Geoof's posts, that's the stupidest thing I've heard in years. Not at all surprising that the Cheney administration would do something this dumb, though.

Damn, I went to see it in the cinema but fell asleap cause I'd been up all night watching other films as part of a film festival. Now I might not get to see it again, even in HD.

Jesus Christ.
When I was in San Fran I saw a "Banned Books" poster in a book store.
75% of those books have been made into movies which won Academy Awards. :icon27:

Maybe they'll burn the copies of the film like the Nazis burned all those books.
America's like Nazi Germany now.

If they're supposed to be banned, why can I go to the local book store and buy them?

That's a good question that I have no answer for.
It's retarded to ban books anyways...all it does is make people want to read them.

But it doesn't say where in the United States. Maybe it should say "banned somewhere in the United States"
edit: I dunno, GKY, you saw the posters. Was there any explanation as to where in particular they were banned?

Just zoom in on the picts. I know as much as you. :icon26:
According to the poster it's for the whole country and they're ads for an ACLU concert.
I'm too lazy to look but I'd recommend going to ACLU's site and checking the list. Maybe they have the reasons posted to why the books are banned?

Just a quick point; it says that the books have been banned, it doesn't say that they are currently banned...

I looked at their site and that seems to be the case. Book that have been banned or threatened throughout history.
