Q3 install problem

When i install i get some error about 32bit setup

You don't strictly need the installer. Copy the PAK files from your CD to e.g. c:\games\quake3\baseq3, download the 1.32 point release from iD Software and run it.

I looked at the screenshot and can't quite tell, but are you running Windows Vista 64-bit? This may be an issue if so. But as far as ^misantropia^ said, that oughtta do the trick for you.

if i dont have it installed how am i supposed to have a q3 folder?

Ah.
By copying, I mean dragging the files from CD to a folder on your hard disk.

Can you take the cd to another computer and see if it copies ok? Cuz if it does that probably means something wonky is going on with your xp install, or hardware, or both.
But if you get the error again on a different computer, then it could be the cd went belly up.
