Lan problems

Im at a lan party at the moment and trying to join the quake 3 games but keep getting stuck at the connection screen, its saying this server is using protocol 68 and I can't seem to join the game. No one here seems to know whats going on although they suspect it may be something to do with dell software. Any help would be fantastic so thanks in advance.

Sounds like you're using the wrong version of quake 3.

Thanks for the help guys, can't believe the problem was so simple. I had downloaded the update but must have forgotten to install
