Ok, so heres the story.. Im building my xbox, into a PC case.. just not enough room in the stock one..

So, i need a case, thats big enough for all the xbox internals, but not so big that it looks stupid sitting next to a tv.. id prefer something like a midtower, but smaller, kinda like a mini tower, but with only 1 CD drive slot..

ive checked newegg, but thats about it.. closest thing i can find that wouldnt be to bad was this.
http://www.newegg.com/app/ViewProductDe ... 010&depa=1

now im not looking to spend alot here.. all 'mods' will be done with my dremel, so it dont matter if it has a window or not..

Would you mind posting photos of this while you're working on it... would be interesting to see it in progress.

if you want good small cases directron has a ton, and they're just as reputable and good of a retailer as newegg.
just make sure you don't get one that has a molded plastic facia... they look nice, but are NOT mod-friendly.

modled plastic is fine.. im gonna be sanding, and repainting anyways most likely..

and ive used directron before.. was just giving everyone something to do for "looking", directron is GOOD, but they screw up orders allt he time.. they have "forgotten" things in my orders, now they DO fix things, so its all good there.. i just think they are over their heads sometimes..

Hehe, why would you want to put the Xbox internals in a larger case? :smirk:

Well, im sick of it looking like an xbox for one..

theres just no room for anything else inside..

And i want to put my wireless controllers dongle thing on the inside so its not hanging around everywhere..

thats, and i might throw my PS2 in there too.. :icon25:

well, refinishing the plastic is no big... but the problem comes in when you want to cut holes for controller ports and such. those molded plastic fronts with lights, doors and shit in them are such a pain in the ass to cut into and try to relocate things that you end up wanting to just toss the fucker and make your own face from some lexan.
all metal is the way to go for inner peace in the workshop.

i was going to use it for a HPC case, but its a MATX style case, and i want to slap in a ATX bord..

quality built, strong, and its fuckin quiet.. obviously you will need to re-work the mounting points and the rear bracket, but that would be a sick one to use.
