Hey everyone. My old router crapped out on me so I just replaced it with a WRT300N. So far it's working great for all the directly connected computers but I'm having an issue with a laptop connecting to it.
I have the router filtering MAC addresses so only that laptop will be allowed to connect. I disabled encryption just to see if this laptop will do what I want...
It connects but only if you hit Repair on its network connection to force it to get an ip address. The damn thing, however, refuses to automatically get an ip address and connect when you boot it up.
Channels are matching on both the router and the wireless card.
I tried manually assigning the laptop an ip address and forcing it to use it but it still doesn't want to connect automatically.
I'm wondering what could possibly be the issue here? If you need more information on my setup just ask. Any help is really appreciated.
Thanks guys.

What wireless cards are the Clients using?
What windows? are you using the Windows Wireless Zero to get it working? or the Suplied software witht he nic's ( i assume Wireless Zero, but i need to know
)
What Firmware are you running for your Router? are you sure its the newest? if not, then consider a flash to the newest. MAKE SURE TO BACKUP THE CURRENT FIRMWARE!
Do you have your Auth set to TKIP ( within windows ? ) if not, try it out.. i have found that worked when a simular situation happened.
What are the other Security settings that are intated on the Router?
