I didn't forget about you guys and I am just posting to let you know that I am up and running! Smoothly on the first try too... (except for some backwards fans). And after only a sliggghhhttt mishap (blew up my power supply) everything is smooth and perfect. Thank you so much for all of your help.

Good to hear man. Don't beat yourself up over the PSU if you did something silly... we all go through a few components in the course of learning

Yeah, I've killed a floppy drive by installing the FDD cable upside down and did it again to the replacement drive. FFS, they should clearly label these things, hard to see inside a case. HDD cables only go in one way, why can FDD's do the same? I also shorted out a LED light on a case fan when it came in contact with the metal case. It sent sparks everywhere and scared the crap out of me.

Not many women on this site so it's common for us to assume everyone is male. We're a bunch of Neanderthal nerds that habitually drive most women away by flailing our clubs around.
Congrats on building your first computer.
