you know, like rj scripts in your config that you use
My rocket jump code:
bind MOUSE3 "cl_yawspeed 22500; +right; wait 2; -right; wait; +moveup; +attack; wait; -attack; -moveup; +left; wait 2; -left; cl_yawspeed 140"
Or this one that ive started using in FFA games
bind MOUSE2 "weapon3; attack; weapon1"
so do YOU have anything special like that that you use in-game?

i don't have my config to hand, but the scripts i use are:
weapon grouping, so one key will cycle a few specific weapons.
comms on the number pad.
cruise control and auto-fire, for cod:uo rather than q3. it takes bloody ages to get anywhere on foot in cod:uo so a cruise control button is very handy. same for auto-fire if you're playing the 'base assault' gametype.
doesn't using a script for rjumping hurt a lot more than doing it properly?

not really. That one i posted there gets a perfect, consisten rocket jump every single time and resets your view back to the way it was before the rocket jump... If you follow
If you can find your configuration, a few of those could prove useful to me, and others i hope.

cl0ck or someone like that used a rj script in ctf. as a flag runner he would generally just want to go as far and as fast as possible. in tdm or 1v1 it's pretty stupid though, as you'd generally want to rj to a specific ledge or item and thus need more control.
i liked the item timing script i used, but i don't think that's really a "macro," per se.

well, taking your own definition of a macro into account, a single keystroke that executes multiple commands, that is, right?
I dont duel much these days, and i only wrote that rj script after a FFA server opened up in my community, and it serves its purpose well
heres another i found:
bind MOUSE5 "+forward; jump; wait 2; jump"
I think its supposed to be a strafe jumping helper, but it looks dodgy.

negatory, that's just a crap script... might do a double-jump in promode (like up a set of stairs), but not much chance of it doing anything else.
people generally don't talk about "macros" in q3... it's really more of a warcraft/starcraft thing. but there are plenty of odd little scripts that work their way into configs (thinshaft, timing, communication stuff, etc).
i seem to remember czm's config being particularly crazy. and i think fatal1ty had something set up for tdm where he could tell a certain teammate to go somewhere or do something (like in three keystrokes he could teamsay "spook, help czm at the RA" or whatever)

not sure if you know or not,
but in the oqcl ctf comps, which are now the slashquit ctf comps, rj scripts were/are banned.

i did in fact NOT know that, but if you havent noticed, SQ hasnt filled a respectable CTF comp for some time. In fact, wch uses a rocket jump script himself.

yep he always has,nes was one of the clans bitching about it when it was banned.
try this one.
set shootback "cl_yawspeed 22500; +right; wait 2; -right; wait; +attack; wait; -attack; +left; wait 2; -left"
bind [KEY] "vstr shootback"
it spams rockets backwards while jumping across the map,im trying to find the one that pyth uses,he posted it years ago
oh and.........
