Hello,

Name's Alex. Or "Wilsty" as I will be going by here or online. I just got Ultimate Quake in the mail and installed Quake I, Quake II, and Quake III: Arena. After playing Quake 4 on the Xbox 360, I became extremely interested in the Quake series. I decided I should try the original Quake games. So I went out and bought Ultimate Quake.

I just wanted to say that I can't wait to play with you guys sometime. It'll be an honor.

I'm going to go play them right now. Gotta get some practice in, you know?

No I don't. I highly doubt anyone would want me in their clan right now considering I'm completely new to it. Well, except for Quake 4. But that was on the 360 so playing on the PC is completely different control wise. I refused to go out and buy Quake 1 and 2 for the N64 and Playstation. What started out on the PC should be played on the PC.

Welcome Wilsty to our little corner of cyber-space.

At the top of the forum threads you'll find some useful sticky threads with plenty of information. If you can't find the answer there and the search feature doesn't give you anything (some ppl round here can be a little touchy about that after 10 years of the same ole questions), then please feel free to ask away and someone here will probably have the answer.

Other than that enjoy the game.

FoRa!

Good choice, Wilsty. All other FPS games are mere imitators compared to Quake III Arena. I am not religious about Q3, if a better game comes along I'd go with it. But, it hasn't happened yet.

Try Q3 Capture the Flag for a pure adrenaline rush.

Join us on the A51 ctf server. I've found this server to be extremely busy with lots of good people on it.

-=A51=-CTF (216.12.96.41:27960)

To get directly to the server just pull down the console(~) and type "connect 216.12.96.41:27960" (without quotes).

You will need some map paks though.....

http://teama51.ntelos.net/

Just register and go to the downloads. You will mainly need the OSP and Threewave maps. Just download both complete mods and you will be set.

I generally play on the weekends under "Redshirt " or "S31|^SSJ3Goku"

I hope to see you there! :icon31:
